Week 6 Fantasy Football Start'em & Sit'em

After 5 weeks of the NFL and fantasy season I hope that you are in the running for the championship. The byes this week should not limit you too much. Let’s get you ready for week 6 with your start em and sit em!
Start Em
Quarterback
Matt Stafford. The Lions QB can give you heart ache with his gunslinger mentality. However, this week he is a solid start at home against a LA Rams defense that is very questionable in the secondary. Look for a slid week again from Stafford.
Running Back
Jordan Howard. The running back for the Bears has been a fantasy diamond. This week against the Jaguars he should have another solid week. The Jags defense has 18 and 15.5 points in 2 of their last 3 games to the position.
Wide Receiver
Brandon Cooks. Cooks has 2 things going for him. 1. He has Drew Brees for a QB and 2. He is playing the Carolina Panthers secondary. The defending NFC Champs are playing far from it in 2016. They have given up the second most FPPG over the last 2 weeks to the position, 38.
Tight End
Jesse James. The Steelers tight end is a very good play this week. Not only has he scored 3 out of 5 games this season, he is also playing the Dolphins. The Dolphins are 27th in league against the TE.
Kicker
Justin Tucker. Although Tucker has seen a decline in numbers this should be a solid week to start him. The Giants money defense, has allowed an average of 10 or more points the last 4 weeks.
Defense
Tennessee Titans. Going up against a Browns offense that struggles against tough defenses. Look for the Titans to create havoc on the Browns.
Sit Em
Quarterback
Philip Rivers. The Broncos are going to be fired up after getting lit up by the Falcons on Sunday. Having only allowed an average of 14 pts on the season and a short week, Rivers is a tough play this week.
Running Back
Eddie Lacy. I am staying away from Eddie Lacy for 2 reasons. 1. He is injured and may not play anyway. 2. The Cowboys defense has been surprisingly good against the run. If Lacy does play he could be limited. Watch out for this one.
Wide Receiver
Allen Hurns. I am staying away from Hurns this week because of the up and down nature of the Jaguars offense. He put up his best stat line 2 weeks ago, however, they are playing a Bears defense that has been hot of late. Only giving up 4 receiving TDs on the season.
Tight End
Antonio Gates. Gates is seeing his snap count decrease as a result of the up and coming Hunter Henry. Although Gates scored in his return last week he was only on the field for 18 plays. I would look elsewhere at tight end.
Kickers
Matt Bryant. The Seahawks have only given 5.5 fantasy points, on average, to opposing kickers. With the Falcons having to travel, again, across country I do not look for a chance for any output from the Falcons kicker.
Defense
Cincinnati Bengals. The return of Tom Brady last week left the Browns feeling like their team name. I do not see a much better outcome for the Bengals this week. Sit the Bengals.
Fantasy season are entering the midway stretch. You must plan on making a move if you are in the running. Do not be afraid to be bold.
Good Luck!!!
